Truth about Abortion

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. -Psalm 139:13

The world says it is okay for a woman to receive an abortion because “it is her body”, “there is just tissue inside you”, “a fetus has no equality to a human”, and so on. There is life inside of a pregnant woman. When you receive an abortion, you are destroying the life of a child. Click on the pictures below to see what really is inside of a pregnant woman.

  • 30 Hours After Conception:
    • A few hours after the nuclei have fused, the fertilization ovum divides for the first time, with a powerful force. It now has two cells, each containing genes from both the mother and the father.
  • 4 Weeks:
    • The embryo, some 6 mm (about ¼ inch) long, shows the clear rudiments of brain and backbone. Its heart pumps blood to the liver and into the aorta.
  • 6 Weeks:
    • Measuring 15 mm (just over ½ inch) long, the design for a human being begins to show results. The cells are seething with life and the whole embryo is in constant motion. Its heart has 140-150 fluttering beats per minute—twice as many as its mother’s.
  • 11 Weeks:
    • Weighs about 1 oz. and is 2 ½ to 3” long. The fetus squints, swallows, hiccups, and it flexes its tiny arms and legs. The fetus has fingerprints and it could fit comfortably in the palm of your hand.
  • 4 1/2 Months:
    • Already, the hand is a tiny, exquisite work of art. In this fetus, the body’s systems are now being tested. It moves and waves its arms. It also sucks its thumb.
  • 6 Months:
    • The fetus is covered all over by downy hair. The tongue has formed taste buds and the eyes have fully developed. The baby's lungs are completely functioning and he can even cry.
  • First Breath:
    • At last, out in the real world—a world of dazzling light, cold air and loud noises. Almost immediately comes the first cry—a rare, sometimes hesitating, sound.
