Sex is Not Love

There could be a number of reasons why you have decided to have sex. But if you think that you will find love through sex, I am sorry to say that you won’t find love. Sex is not the same as love nor does sex produce love. Let me show you what true love really is:

    If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal…Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance…Love will last forever! 1 Corinthians 13:1, 4-7

Here is the difference between love and lust:

Love is patient: it gives

Lust is greedy: it takes

Love does not demand

Lust wants right now

Love is kind

Lust will bring tears

Love is unconditional

Lust is conditional

Love if faithful

Lust waivers

Love never gives up

Lust will leave when not fulfilled

Love endures every problem

Lust avoids every problem

Love is self-controlled

Lust is self-centered
